Aratron (Saturn) Vigil
Rules Saturnian matters: the dead, to bring good fortune to buildings; to "freeze" or halt (turn to stone); to transmute something worthless into something valuable, goods, investments, and similar things long-term endeavors, for study. Also, for greater staying power and wisdom. Teaches alchemy, magic, medicine, reconciles subterranean spirits, grants invisibility, makes barren fruitful, gives long life, turns things into stone, transmutes coal to treasure, treasure to coal, provides familiars.
Verbatim text from Arbatel (Aphorism 17): ARATRON hath under him 49 Kings, 42 Princes, 35 Presidents, 28 Dukes, 21 Ministers, standing before him; 14 familiars, 7 messengers: he commandeth 36000 legions of spirits; the number of a legion is 490. Aratron teacheth Alchymy, Magick, and Physick. He reconcileth the subterranean spirits to men; he teacheth to make any one invisible. He maketh the barren fruitfull, and giveth long life. He turneth all things into stone in a moment, as well animals as plants, and that without any violence or pain to the thing. He turneth coales into treasure, and treasure into coales again. He giveth familiars with a definite power. He teacheth those things which are under his government, and maketh the knowledge of them to be had by men.
